Ghada Abukuwaik
An experienced board member and driven community leader with extensive experience in pharmacology, business management, and operations. An NCPA Adherence Award winner in 2019 and McKesson Pharmacy of the Year Nominee in 2017, 2020, 2022, and 2023. She is the CEO of multiple pharmacies in New Jersey, a national Independent advisory board member, NIAB McKesson Board member, and NJ CPESN Facilitator. She is a caring and dedicated pharamcist and caretaker.
Zaid Qasem
Zaid is a committed legal professional who brings experience in civil litigation, commercial matters, and various issues of equity. As an attorney, Zaid has represented clients across various courts, securing favorable outcomes in complex cases. With a passion for justice and a dedication to serving the community, Zaid is excited to contribute his expertise to further the mission of the organization.
Dr. Abdelnasser Hussein
Dr. Abdelnasser Hussein is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership. He served as a chaplain at both the Massachusetts Department of Correction and the University of Rhode Island. With extensive experience as a K-12 school leader, Dr. Hussein held the position of principal at the Islamic School of Rhode Island for 5 years. He has also served as president of the New England Council of Islamic Schools and the Muslim Community of Kingston, RI. As an active member of both the Muslim and interfaith communities, Dr. Hussein has represented the Muslim community in Rhode Island at various rallies, interfaith events, universities, law enforcement communications, TV shows, radio stations, and journal interviews
Abdallah Mohammad Matari
Dr. Matari came to HCCC in 2001 as a Lab Technician, and became a tenured faculty member in 2009. He has been serving as Chemical Hygiene Coordinator since 2001, and as Biology Coordinator since 2010. He was the first STEM professor to teach online and hybrid courses at the College. Dr. Matari has conducted the cyclical review of Biology as well as revisions to courses and curricula, and developed courses such as Histology and Genetics. He has served on numerous HCCC committees, promoted the HCCC Biology program during Open Houses, and was a volunteer judge at the Hudson County Community Science Fair for high school students.
Ida Khalil
Ida Khalil has been an active leader in her community masjid for over 20 years. She has also dedicated over 15 years to the WAFA House organization. She has also volunteered with Islamic relief for the past 20 years. Ida Khalil is very active in the Muslim community and loves to help and lead, where she can.
